Back in the day...

I can hardly believe that I am writing a blog...me the "technotard"!
With help and encouragement from good friends--here ' goes.

You know the life---you are a mom of a bunch small children, you have a calling at church that takes a great deal of time, you are involved in PTO or volunteering at school, you may even work part-time, the laundry alone is a full-time job.   Everyday is filled to capacity.  You would give anything for a few moments all to yourself for a little peace and quiet.  And as it always does, life changes.  Your calling changes, your kids grow up--some even go to college or get married--those that are still at home are capable of doing so much--like the laundry.  For me it seems like I have more and more of those moments during the day.   I have been able to do some of the things that I like to do, take a bubble bath-- all by myself in the middle of the day if I want to, read a novel, sew a blanket, or do a craft.  I have wondered if I could make a little business doing the things I like to do.  I was asked recently to cut some wood letters and ornaments for a couple of craft days.  My husband and I used to have a wood craft business...back in the day.  I love the smell of sawdust and seeing amazing things transform out of an ordinary piece of wood.  So at least for this Holiday Season I have decided to "hang up my shingle" again.
